As a Senior Financial Strategy Analyst at ComplyAdvantage, you join the Financial Strategy team at the centre of how the business plans, invests, and grows. You provide senior individual contributor support across budgeting and reporting cycles on a three-month fixed-term contract, reporting jointly to the Senior Director and Manager of Financial Strategy. This is a hands-on role where you pick up complex workstreams quickly, work autonomously, and deliver to a high standard from week one.
What you'll do
- Support the monthly reporting cycle, including variance analysis, commentary, and preparing outputs for senior stakeholders.
- Support the annual budgeting process, including producing spreadsheets, consolidating inputs, and stress-testing assumptions.
- Extract, combine, and reconcile data across finance and commercial systems, and tighten the processes and templates that sit around them.
- Prepare Board presentations and KPI packs to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
- Work alongside the wider Finance team to unblock and absorb work wherever the pressure sits during the cycle.
What you bring
- Four or more years in FP&A, with a track record of owning budgeting and reporting workstreams end to end.
- Advanced spreadsheet capabilities and financial analysis skills, able to build robust and easy-to-follow spreadsheets that others depend on.
- Familiarity with the mechanics of a budgeting and monthly reporting cycle, and ability to spot and fix weak points in a process while running it.
- Strong working knowledge of the three financial statements and accounting methodology.
- Confidence extracting and combining data across multiple systems, and improving how that data flows.
- Ability to explain complex topics simply and hold your own with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to take a brief, ask the right clarifying questions once, and then deliver without needing to be managed through it.
- Comfort taking direction from two stakeholders, reprioritising quickly, and switching between workstreams.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Ability to start at short notice and commit to the full three-month term.
Nice to have
- A SaaS or technology background, or a track record of thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Exposure to Google Sheets-based planning environments, Abacum, Salesforce, Looker, BigQuery, or Light/Xero ERP.
- Experience applying AI to finance or analytical work.
