Senior Game Producer

As a Senior Game Producer at Horizon Blockchain Games, you own the development and launch of Skyweaver from day one. You'll deliver a commercially successful trading card game that already has 47,000 created accounts and a waitlist of 180,000 players. Working in a small, high-impact team, your decisions carry weight as you collaborate daily with senior leaders including the Game Designer, Head of Design, Director of Product, CFO, and CEO.

What you'll do

• Work closely with leadership to construct product strategy, translating Skyweaver's vision and commercial targets into a coherent roadmap and set of product objectives
• Serve as the main product owner, responsible for product planning, feature definition, and content planning
• Incorporate data-driven insights from user research, market reports, and product analytics into strategy development
• Define operational properties of project development, including development processes, production planning, status reporting, risk management, resource management, and budgets
• Oversee and mentor key areas of scheduling, staffing, process, and time management
• Maintain product timelines, releases, scheduling, and quality assurance for the whole game
• Prepare and provide accurate reports to management to ensure tight delivery schedules and accurate overall production schedules
• Function as a main hub of information between programmers, designers, management, and the rest of the company
• Implement monetization goals into specific, detailed measures and follow through on their implementation
• Define production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), set standards and best practices to drive excellence
• Provide clear, timely, and regular communications to ensure the development team and key stakeholders understand production goals
• Identify and remove roadblocks to projects hitting quality and schedule goals
• Collaborate across engineering, marketing, operations, finance, and design to gather feedback and data on the project
• Coach a team of artists, game designers, and developers
• Conduct play tests to ensure the game meets high quality standards
• Provide perspective on and validate the growth model regarding KPIs related to acquisition, retention, and monetization
• Navigate and iterate the growth model under the unique constraints of creating open player economies using blockchain technology
• Effectively communicate the roadmap to leadership and production teams

What you bring

• 5 years of production experience on a shipped console, PC, or mobile game
• Demonstrated track record delivering major projects on time and within budget, meeting quality standards and effective team output
• In-depth knowledge of the ARM model (acquisition, retention, monetization) for games
• Experience and working knowledge of game monetization best practices
• Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal communication abilities with a strong capacity to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational skills with experience in project delivery methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
• Good understanding of the work and responsibilities of each stakeholder in game production: designers, artists, programmers, Live Operations, Quality Assurance, and others
• Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to a creative environment
• Passion for games, an understanding of the industry, and knowledge of what makes great interactive entertainment
• Ability to successfully partner across all levels of a team and organization

Nice to have

• Experience with free-to-play and/or trading card game (TCG) genre
• Experience in at least one area of game development such as design, art, or engineering
• Knowledge of Apple and Google app stores
• Knowledge of web and browser technologies
