Senior Manager, Enterprise Payments

As Senior Manager, Enterprise Payments at the Stellar Development Foundation, you will drive growth in active accounts and reaffirm Stellar's position as the leading blockchain for payments. You own primary OKRs focused on account growth and payment volume, and play a crucial role in cross-functionally integrating RWA and DeFi opportunities into your book of business. Your core mandate spans building out Stellar's payments and stablecoin ecosystem, growing wallets at global scale, expanding into new verticals, and closing holistic deals across the RWA and DeFi Stellar teams.

What you'll do

• Execute on and contribute to the refinement of the Payments Strategy, driving Monthly Active Account volume on Stellar through B2B2B and B2B2C payouts and commerce, Global Marketplace, Payment Service Providers, and Neobanks
• Develop a priority target list and ensure execution against primary targets
• Manage key strategic relationships with major accounts
• Lead business development work on expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization in coordination with partnership vertical leads, surfacing opportunities based on Stellar's needs and closing deals across the business development and SDF organization

What you bring

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in business development, including significant experience in global payment processing, fintech, or blockchain/crypto roles
• Existing relationships within the Enterprise, Fintech, Payments, and Crypto ecosystem, particularly focused on payments, RWA, and decentralized finance
• Strong understanding of crypto payment systems, including experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, and digital asset payments
• Technical proficiency and deep understanding of payment flows and how blockchain can enhance them, with a focus on global and local payments across different regions
• Proven ability to independently develop, structure, negotiate, and close opportunities
• Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles
• Experience working with enterprises, financial institutions, crypto companies, payment providers, or fintech startups
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior-level professionals, sound judgment, and poise in professional settings
• Entrepreneurial drive and self-starter mentality
• Ability to travel as needed for regional and global meetings and conferences

Nice to have

• Traditional finance institutional knowledge related to legal, regulatory, and economic market structures in multiple geographies as it relates to payments, venture capital, private equity, fintech, and DeFi
• Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, or Mandarin
