Senior Manager, Enterprise Payments

As a Senior Manager of Enterprise Payments at the Stellar Development Foundation, you will drive growth in active accounts and reaffirm Stellar's position as the leading blockchain for payments. You will own primary OKRs focused on account growth and payment volume, building out Stellar's payments and stablecoin ecosystem, growing wallets at global scale, and expanding into new verticals. You will also work cross-functionally with the RWA and DeFi teams to create integrated deals and support the broader partnership team and company objectives.

What you'll do

• Execute on and contribute to the refinement of the Payments Strategy, driving monthly active account volume on Stellar through strategies including B2B2B and B2B2C payouts and commerce, Global Marketplace, Payment Service Providers, and Neobanks
• Develop a priority target list and ensure execution against primary targets
• Manage key strategic relationships with key accounts
• Conduct business development work related to expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization in coordination with partnership vertical leads to drive relevant outcomes, surfacing opportunities and helping to close deals

What you bring

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in business development, including significant experience in global payment processing, fintech, or blockchain and crypto roles
• Existing relationships within the Enterprise, Fintech, Payments, and Crypto ecosystem, particularly with a focus on payments, RWA, and decentralized finance
• Strong understanding of crypto payment systems, including experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, and digital asset payments
• Deep understanding of payment flow of funds and the ability for blockchain to enhance them, with a focus on global and local payments across different regions
• Proven ability to independently develop, structure, negotiate, and close opportunities
• Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles
• Experience working with Enterprises, financial institutions, crypto companies, payment providers, or fintech startups
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior-level professionals, sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness
• Entrepreneurial drive and self-starter mentality
• Ability to travel as needed, with frequent representation of Stellar at regional and global meetings and conferences

Nice to have

• Traditional finance institutional knowledge related to legal, regulatory, and economic market structures in multiple geographies as it relates to asset classes such as payments, venture capital, private equity, fintech, and DeFi
• Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, or Mandarin

• Base salary of $145,000 to $195,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus lumen-denominated grants
