Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

As a Senior Mobile Engineer at Trust Wallet, you architect and lead the development of cross-platform React Native applications for iOS and Android. You collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences, while mentoring mid-level and junior engineers and staying at the forefront of mobile and web development trends.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, high-performance React Native applications for both iOS and Android, ensuring architectural integrity and scalability.
• Drive the development of shared UI components and design systems that are consistent across mobile and web applications, leveraging your expertise in React and related web technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of best practices, code quality, and continuous learning through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to define, build, and deliver end-to-end features.
• Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal application responsiveness and user experience on both mobile and web.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile and web development, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
• Tackle challenging technical problems with innovative solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on React Native for building production-grade mobile applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of React, React Native, and their ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of web development principles and technologies, with the ability to contribute to or understand web-based frontends.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and testable software architectures.
• Solid understanding of mobile development best practices, UI/UX patterns, and platform-specific considerations for iOS and Android.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of debugging and resolving complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
