Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer at TRM Labs, you'll design the tools that help investigators and compliance teams at law enforcement, government agencies, and crypto businesses trace illicit activity and disrupt crime. You'll own end-to-end design for core workflows across public and private sector products, and shape how people and AI agents work together to solve cases faster and safer.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end design for core workflows across public and private sector products, from first sketch to shipping
• Design the agentic experience: how users hand work to AI, check what it did, and decide whether to trust it
• Contribute reusable patterns back to the design system, built so both designers and AI tools can use them
• Set and enforce the quality bar on what ships through tight build reviews with engineering
• Learn investigator and compliance analyst workflows well enough to anticipate needs and make dense, complex data feel clear without oversimplifying
• Design how agents show their reasoning, sources, and confidence, and where people step in to review, correct, or redirect their work
• Use AI in your own design process to explore directions, generate variants, and get to working prototypes fast so PMs and engineers can react to something tangible
• Work embedded with PMs and engineers in discovery and launch cycles, staying in Slack threads and huddles while the team builds and adjusting designs on the spot

What you bring

• A portfolio demonstrating data-heavy B2B product work: sharp information architecture and interactions that hold up under real use
• A track record of driving design forward without waiting to be told, pulling PMs, engineers, and other designers in early and owning the outcome without working alone
• Experience designing product surfaces where AI or automation does real work for the user, or a clear point of view on how that design problem differs from traditional UI
• Systems thinking: you treat each solution as a pattern the rest of the product can reuse and have contributed to or scaled a design system
• Speed with judgment: you move fast and know when polish matters and when it doesn't
• AI fluency: you are among the top 10 percent of operators in your function in how you apply AI to accelerate workflows, structure problems, improve output quality, and increase speed and leverage

What we offer

• Base salary of $176,000-$193,000 (US; adjusted for geography outside the US)
• Eligibility to participate in TRM's equity plan
• Distributed-first work with in-person work weeks typically 1-2 times per quarter at a TRM hub, scheduled with at least 14 days' notice; TRM covers approved travel, lodging, and workspace
