Senior Python Back-End Developer - Crypto

As a Senior Python Back-End Developer at EPAM Systems, you'll contribute to the development of secure, scalable systems supporting cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to design robust solutions that integrate with blockchain networks, crypto exchanges, and digital wallets.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop features and new products
• Develop solutions according to specified business requirements
• Define and write technical specifications, including appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Present implementation details to team leaders, heads, and CTO
• Implement unit and integration tests
• Ensure software meets requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti-patterns, and pursue refactoring opportunities
• Design and implement secure integrations with blockchain networks, crypto exchanges, and digital wallets
• Contribute to the development of systems supporting cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement

What you bring

• BSc in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development and coding in Python
• Knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices development, and containerized application management
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and building websockets
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm
• Proficiency in version control and continuous integration tools such as Git and Jenkins
• Understanding of web security standards and best practices
• Knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and digital assets
• Hands-on experience integrating with crypto APIs (REST/WebSocket), smart contracts, or blockchain SDKs

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP
• Exposure to DeFi protocols
• Familiarity with Web3 frameworks
• Knowledge of digital custody systems
