Senior Risk Manager for crypto-asset service provider

Join Amdax's assurance team as a Senior Risk Manager and help strengthen our position as a leading crypto-asset service provider. In this key role, you will identify, assess, and help mitigate financial and non-financial risks across the organization, developing and implementing effective risk strategies aligned with regulations including DORA, GDPR, MiCAR and the WwFT. You will report directly to the Board and have high impact in a growing organization.

What you'll do

• Own the ICT Risk Management Policy and accompanying GRC tooling
• Manage the Quarterly Risk Committee, annual SIRA, and annual DORA RoI
• Conduct risk assessments to identify emerging threats across market, credit, operational, IT, and cybersecurity domains
• Build risk awareness and support business teams in implementing effective control measures
• Collaborate across departments to design and implement strategic risk controls
• Expand the Risk Management framework with special focus on ICT risks, making enhancements based on regulations, evolving market conditions, and incidents
• Serve as a Senior Member of the Yield Investment Committee, providing an independent voice on strategies and risks
• Act as key escalation point during security incidents, coordinating crisis response
• Stay current on crypto-asset market developments to maintain compliance and relevance for Amdax stakeholders
• Implement risk management training modules and foster a company-wide risk-aware culture

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Computer Science, or Law
• Minimum 8 years of experience in non-financial risk management and/or IT security, preferably within financial services, fintech, or crypto-asset environments
• Proven track record developing and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks including DORA, MiFID, and/or MiCAR, with strong knowledge of risk management processes and best practices
• Sharp analytical skills and critical thinking abilities to design effective risk mitigation strategies
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex risk concepts into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Ability to apply your knowledge and experience to a wide variety of challenges
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across departments to implement controls
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, balancing risk against upside

Nice to have

• An advanced degree such as an MBA or Master's qualification
• Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, CISA, RE, or RO
• Proficiency in Dutch

• Salary of EUR 6,500-8,000 per month, including an Amdax equity package, depending on your seniority level
