Senior RUST Engineer - Digital Assets

As a Senior Rust Engineer on the DeFi Yield Gen Platform team at Fidelity Investments, you'll develop a secure crypto yield generation platform utilizing modern software development practices. You will work closely with technical leaders and architects, and as a senior member of the team, you'll mentor engineers on best practices for software development.

What you'll do

• Build resilient services in Rust that power the DeFi Yield Generation Platform
• Work with technical leaders and architects to design secure, scalable solutions
• Mentor engineers on software development best practices
• Participate in code and design reviews, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipelines
• Build unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Deploy applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Core

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering using Rust
• Hands-on experience building resilient services in Rust
• Proficiency in databases and SQL
• An understanding of microservice architecture
• Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments
• Critical thinking skills to build end-to-end solutions
• Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in both small agile teams and independently, with a strong user focus
• Passion for learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks

Nice to have

• Familiarity with L1 and L2 blockchains such as Ethereum
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging services such as SNS and SQS
