Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack | Product Engineering - SF Only

As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack at TRM Labs, you build AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. You join the Full-Stack Product Engineering team, responsible for building features, frameworks, and functionalities for both end customers and internal teams. As an early member of the team, you will be deeply involved in technical details and operational processes, championing velocity, quality, and impact across TRM's business.

What you'll do

• Work on complex engineering problems that build technical skills alongside project management and soft skills
• Develop and maintain public APIs that are part of the API Product suite
• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform functional vision into a tangible roadmap with clear outcomes
• Support and enable internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities
• Develop cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the organization to understand and empower their mission end to end
• Design and build scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services using Node.js and other technologies

What you bring

• Experience designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services
• An understanding of storage systems such as relational databases like Postgres and analytical databases
• Demonstrated experience understanding customer pain points and bridging their needs to technical and product requirements
• A high degree of initiative and ownership, combined with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to change
• Exceptional ability to structure problems and identify the most critical issues to prioritize
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
• Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with a diverse group of people at all levels
• AI fluency: you apply AI to accelerate repeatable workflows, structure and solve problems, improve output quality, and increase speed and leverage

What we offer

• Base salary of $180,000 to $210,000 (US only; compensation adjusted for other geographies)
• Eligibility to participate in TRM's equity plan
• San Francisco office-based role with expectation to work from the office at least three days per week
• On-call rotation approximately once every 4-6 weeks
