Senior Software Engineer - Risk

As a Senior Software Engineer - Risk at FalconX, you architect and build next-generation risk solutions for an institutional gateway to digital asset markets. FalconX processes more than $1T+ in trading volume across spot and derivative instruments, has financed $2.5B+ in loan originations, and is the first CFTC-registered swap dealer focused on cryptocurrency derivatives. You will evolve FalconX's risk technology to be best-in-class, working on cutting-edge solutions that financial institutions and crypto firms rely on for their day-to-day operations.

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance FalconX's proprietary risk management tools, infrastructure, risk data, and processes
• Architect and build scalable, robust, and performant risk solutions for institutional customers and internal teams
• Work closely with multiple members of the risk team to develop, maintain, and improve the risk management stack
• Coach and mentor teammates on supporting and maintaining FalconX's risk solutions

What you bring

• A degree in Computer Science, EE, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent field
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a quant risk role
• Experience in risk management within a trading environment at a hedge fund or bank
• Knowledge of a range of financial products and experience with a variety of derivatives asset classes
• Strong passion for intuitive, analytical, and out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving
• Extensive experience with software engineering, object-oriented coding design, and complex distributed architectures
• Comfort working with Linux and AWS environments
• Python programming experience with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Proactive approach with strong sense of ownership and the ability to partner and build alignment with risk, product, and engineering teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
