Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer at DV Trading, you'll help drive the core infrastructure of a proprietary trading firm forward, working with the latest technologies across Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments. You'll join a growing IT organization operating out of our Chicago, New York, or London office, supporting systems that power our trading operations and risk management across North America, Europe, and Asia.

What you'll do

• Support and maintain all data centers on the east coast
• Design, build, and maintain Windows Server and Desktop environments
• Design, build, and maintain virtualization and cloud environments
• Leverage automation for deploying and supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure
• Partner with the Security team to design, implement, and support our centralized identity and access management solution
• Partner with the Security team to ensure adherence to security best practices across all environments, including patch remediation and system hardening
• Review and improve existing monitoring systems and processes
• Perform Windows OS performance tuning
• Author and maintain computer system design documentation, diagrams, processes, and procedures
• Promote and adopt Infrastructure as Code across all IT
• Mentor junior IT staff
• Participate in an on-call rotation

What you bring

• Experience as a senior infrastructure engineer
• Deep knowledge and practical implementation of Windows, virtualization, and cloud computing infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies
• Experience implementing and supporting identity platforms such as Azure AD and Active Directory
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and multicast
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
• Extensive experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible, Salt, or Terraform
• Extensive experience with endpoint management systems such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to present complex, technical ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
