Senior Technical Sourcer - Engineering (Contract)

As a Senior Technical Sourcer for Engineering at TRM Labs, you will identify, engage, and attract exceptional engineering talent for highly specialized roles. You develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with TRM's values, prioritize candidate experience, and meet ambitious hiring velocity goals. This role is ideal for a senior-level sourcer with a passion for innovative sourcing strategies, data-driven insights, and strong relationship-building skills.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives tailored for engineering roles, creating and refining outreach programs to engage top talent aligned with TRM Labs' leadership principles
• Conduct high-volume targeted outreach to potential candidates weekly, maintaining a conversion rate of 20%+ on responses through personalized messages to engage passive candidates and nurture a robust pipeline
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and the talent team, providing data-driven insights and updates on sourcing progress and market trends to shape search strategies and ensure alignment with hiring objectives
• Rapidly onboard to new positions, demonstrating resilience and agility in understanding each position's specific requirements, terminology, skills, and team needs to deliver immediate sourcing impact
• Within 72 hours of receiving a position, attend the intake meeting prepared with a Total Addressable Market overview and 5-10 sample profiles to review with the hiring team
• Within 48 hours of receiving initial candidate feedback, refine search criteria, then within 24 hours create A/B outreach messaging to engage targeted profiles and aim to source 100 candidates within the first week
• Identify internal referral sources by proactively reaching out to TRM team members with relevant networks via Slack to schedule sourcing jams and explore potential referrals
• Analyze sourcing data two weeks after initial outreach to identify conversion drivers, share insights and recommendations with the hiring team, and optimize the outreach strategy until the position is filled

What you bring

• 5+ years of technical sourcing experience specifically for senior engineering talent
• Proven experience in sourcing hard-to-find positions, with expertise in using sourcing tools, conducting market research, and developing personalized outreach strategies
• Ability to analyze and interpret sourcing metrics, conversion rates, and market data, using these insights to refine strategies and provide actionable feedback to hiring managers
• Flexibility, curiosity, and high tolerance for change, with the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new roles and requirements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with hiring managers, provide regular updates, manage expectations, and act as a strategic partner in the hiring process
• Strong persistence and results-oriented mindset to handle challenges, follow up on passive leads, and meet ambitious outreach targets
• AI fluency at a level among the top 10 percent of operators in your function, applying AI to accelerate workflows, structure problems, improve output quality, and increase speed and leverage
