As a Senior Treasury & Liquidity Specialist at Yellow Card Financial, you sit at the centre of how the company moves money. You will own liquidity execution across Yellow Card's banks, liquidity providers, and offshore accounts, ensuring that payouts, settlements, and trades are never delayed by lack of funds. You report to the Head of Liquidity & Custody and work alongside the Senior Liquidity and Pricing Specialist, who owns rate-setting and forecasting; your focus is execution, getting capital where it needs to be, accurately and on time.

What you'll do

  • Execute offshore and local fund movements between Yellow Card's banks and liquidity providers to keep accounts funded for USD, EUR, GBP and other local-currency payouts.
  • Monitor account balances daily across banks and liquidity providers, and top up accounts proactively rather than waiting for a payment to be blocked.
  • Initiate wires, ACH, and SWIFT transfers across banking partners within approval limits.
  • Trade with liquidity providers to convert stablecoin to fiat and fiat to stablecoin to rebalance exposure and fund payouts, locking rates directly with liquidity provider trading desks where needed.
  • Assist with liquidity movements, planning, projections, and the management of capital cycles and repayments.
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for Yellow Card's liquidity providers and banking partners across African markets, the US, the UK and EU.
  • Coordinate wallet whitelisting and clean-up with liquidity providers whenever banking or wallet infrastructure changes.
  • Monitor counterparty exposure and settlement risk on liquidity partners, and escalate access, settlement, or counterparty issues promptly.
  • Reconcile liquidity provider and bank statements against internal records to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and balance discrepancies, including trades executed directly with liquidity providers outside of standard portal statements.
  • Collect and maintain monthly liquidity provider statements to support month-end close.
  • Maintain accurate, complete records of all fund movements and payment transactions.
  • Support treasury risk reporting by generating treasury dashboards covering liquidity.
  • Process and review customer refunds.
  • Support funding approvals for opex and payroll liquidity needs.
  • Partner with Finance, Compliance, and Product/Engineering on liquidity-impacting issues, incidents, or new market and product launches.
  • Document processes as you run them and cross-train with other members of the Liquidity team, so day-to-day execution never depends on one person alone.

What you bring

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on treasury or liquidity operations experience at a crypto exchange, stablecoin/fintech company, or financial institution, able to step directly into daily execution with minimal ramp-up.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience moving fiat and crypto/stablecoin liquidity across multiple banks, liquidity providers, and markets, ideally including African corridors and multi-currency environments (USD, EUR, GBP).
  • Direct, hands-on experience initiating wire, ACH, and SWIFT payments and executing spot FX or stablecoin conversions with liquidity provider trading desks.
  • Familiarity with crypto custody and settlement platforms and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work hours that align mainly with the US business day, to provide coverage during the after-hours window.
  • The ability to work calmly and quickly under time pressure to resolve urgent liquidity shortfalls; a self-starter with high integrity, comfortable operating with real financial authority and autonomy.

Nice to have

  • An advanced degree such as CA(SA), CIMA/CGMA, or CFA.
  • Exposure to treasury management systems or reconciliation automation tools.
  • General familiarity with the regulatory environment crypto-asset service providers operate in.

What we offer

  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Competitive compensation and meaningful health coverage.
  • Stock option plan participation for all full-time employees.
  • Mental health support services.
  • Access to resources, support, and autonomy for professional growth.
