Senior/Staff Engineer - Blockchain Parsing

As a Senior/Staff Engineer for Blockchain Parsing at OKX, you'll structure on-chain data at scale. The blockchain parsing team converts raw data from hundreds of blockchains with different architectures-EVM, UTXO, Cosmos, Move, and more-into the structured data required by various business applications such as wallets, explorers, and trading platforms. You'll work with petabytes of historical blockchain data and help build the infrastructure that powers multiple business lines across OKG's ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Research various blockchain architectures and on-chain data parsing approaches.
• Maintain communication with the team, provide rational suggestions for requirements, and ensure development work progresses as planned while the system meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Own database design, system design, API interface design, and external system integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire pipeline; optimize and improve the availability and capacity of online services, and handle unexpected production issues.

What you bring

• Solid foundation in Java, with extensive experience in Java multithreading, concurrency, and network communication, plus good coding practices.
• Familiarity with common open-source projects or middleware such as Kafka, RocketMQ, gRPC, Dubbo, Redis, MySQL, Elasticsearch, caching mechanisms, or Spring/SpringBoot, ideally with source code experience.
• Proficiency in mainstream open-source application frameworks such as SpringBoot, SpringMVC, MyBatis, or SpringCloud.
• Experience in developing and designing large-scale data platforms.
• Strong learning ability, teamwork, and communication skills; proactive thinking and capability for independent analysis and problem-solving.
• Understanding of Web3, public blockchain business, and technology.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership mindset, and an exploratory spirit.

Nice to have

• Relevant work experience in Web3 or blockchain.
• Source code experience with open-source projects and middleware.
