Service Reliability Engineer

As a Service Reliability Engineer at DRW, you work with the Container Infrastructure team to ensure the performance and reliability of a large-scale Kubernetes platform serving DRW's trading desks, data scientists, and enterprise application teams. The platform spans hundreds of clusters, thousands of nodes, and dozens of components. You engage with internal customers and infrastructure stakeholders to keep the platform reliable, performant, and cost-effective, while helping teams focus on their business goals.

What you'll do

• Work with different business units to ensure successful onboarding and deployment of applications into DRW's Kubernetes platform
• Relentlessly automate repetitive manual tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service to your platform's users
• Solve complex problems and build new features and components alongside exceptionally talented coworkers

What you bring

• Experience working with or administering Kubernetes clusters
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and containerization fundamentals
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
• A service-focused attitude: you ask questions and focus on getting the right resources and solutions to people rather than enforcing rigid boundaries
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work across teams and engage in evidence-based discussions on technical and operational topics
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and find solutions under interesting constraints

Nice to have

• Experience with common Kubernetes operators such as Flux, Fluentbit, Fluentd, and Prometheus
• Experience administering on-premise infrastructure
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting full-stack web applications
• Experience with multiple programming languages in both greenfield development and legacy maintenance

What we offer

• Annual base salary of $180,000 to $210,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set
