Site Engineer 1

As a Site Engineer 1 at Big Digital Energy, you will perform electrical, mechanical, and technical work in modular data centers with mining machines to streamline crypto mining operations. You will report to the Site Manager and be responsible for metrics such as timely task completion to maximize operational efficiencies and hash rate.

What you'll do

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust hardware and software issues
• Maintain budgeted hash rate
• Troubleshoot issues and complete daily workflow of site operations while enhancing efficiency at all levels
• Manage company and customer-owned assets, offer technical support, and provide appropriate resolutions to issues
• Perform daily data entry and maintain organized files for auditing of hardware and fixed assets
• Physically deploy crypto mining hardware and collect data needed for facility audits
• Receive and ship equipment as directed by leadership
• Communicate any site issues to leadership
• Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership or as needed by business demand

What you bring

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Consistent and reliable transportation to site
• Willingness to work outdoors in various environmental conditions
• Interest in cryptocurrency and involvement in the industry
• Attention to detail
• Ability to learn concepts of IP addressing and subnets
• Understanding of small electronics of medium to low voltage electrical systems
• Superior communication skills with the ability to interact, converse, and share ideas effectively with a wide range of people
• Proactive approach to work
• Superior problem-solving capabilities with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with little or no direction
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear; occasionally sit; frequently squat, stoop, or kneel; reach above the head and reach forward; use hand strength to grasp tools, supplies and equipment; lift up to 50 lbs regularly
