Site Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Bitword Ltd, you design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure to support high-volume cryptocurrency futures and derivatives trading platforms. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong.

What you'll do

• Monitor system performance and availability, and respond to incidents with root cause analysis
• Drive improvements to reliability and latency across the trading infrastructure
• Collaborate with software development and operations teams to automate deployments and optimize system configurations
• Enhance observability through metrics, logging, and alerting
• Perform capacity planning and implement best practices for resilience and disaster recovery
• Contribute to operational runbooks and documentation

What you bring

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with a track record designing and operating highly available, mission-critical systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and incident response, including root cause analysis and implementation of long-term corrective actions
• Software development experience in languages such as Go, Python, Java or similar, for tooling, automation, and infrastructure integration
• Background in Linux system administration, including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of infrastructure management, such as cloud platforms, container orchestration like Kubernetes, networking, and security best practices
• Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, logs, traces) and CI/CD pipelines
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and operate in a high-pressure, low-latency trading environment

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or cryptocurrency trading platforms
