Software Engineer - 2027 New Grads

As a Software Engineer at Ellipsis Labs, you join a profitable, venture-backed startup building sustainable and efficient DeFi protocols on Solana. You'll work on real product features and platform components across the full stack, from frontend to backend, infrastructure, and on-chain systems. As an early-stage team, you'll iterate and ship quickly on scoped projects end-to-end.

What you'll do

• Build real product features and platform components across the stack (frontend, backend, infrastructure, or on-chain), based on your skills and interests
• Own scoped projects end-to-end: problem definition, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Collaborate with design and engineering to deliver fast, reliable, and secure experiences
• Instrument and improve performance, reliability, and observability; write clear tests and documentation

What you bring

• Hands-on experience building software through courses, personal projects, research, or internships in one or more languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Java, or C/C++; you write clear, tested code
• Solid computer science fundamentals covering data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking, plus familiarity with Git and basic debugging
• Ability to make informed trade-offs with business context, high agency, and a team-first mindset
• Curiosity about DeFi and crypto (prior domain experience is not required)

Nice to have

• Experience in full-stack web development with React and JavaScript, backend APIs and services, infrastructure and DevOps with Docker or CI/CD and cloud platforms, or on-chain and low-level systems
• Familiarity with blockchain technology, particularly Solana
• Interest or experience in fintech and trading
• Proficiency in Rust or TypeScript

What we offer

• Salary of $150k to $200k plus equity
• Full-time, hybrid role based in New York, New York
