Software Engineer, CDP - Stablecoin

As a Software Engineer on Coinbase's Stablecoin team, you'll build and extend the backend services and on-chain contracts that power Coinbase Custom Stablecoins (CCS). This platform enables partners to launch their own branded, USDC-backed stablecoins on Coinbase's infrastructure, handling issuance, reserves, minting and burning, and rewards distribution for a fast-growing roster of partners.

What you'll do

• Build and extend smart contract functionality for minting, burning, and safeguarding custom stablecoin supply, working closely with senior engineers on design and security review
• Implement backend services that power onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn the stablecoin roadmap into shipped features every quarter
• Develop reporting, monitoring, and internal tooling that improve reliability and operational excellence for the team
• Write high-quality, well-tested code across both backend and smart contract surfaces

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend services
• Exposure to writing, testing, or deploying smart contracts in Solidity or similar EVM languages, or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in new technical domains with mentorship
• Comfort working within a service-oriented architecture and contributing to established systems at scale
• Familiarity with Golang and blockchain fundamentals such as Ethereum or similar EVM chains
• Ability to use generative AI tools and copilots responsibly in daily workflows, applying human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality

What we offer

• Annual base salary of $146,300-$154,000 CAD, plus equity and bonus eligibility
