Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at HYDRAX, you will design, implement, and maintain software across both front-end and back-end layers for capital market infrastructure solutions. You join an entrepreneurial team focused on innovation, building regulatory-compliant, enterprise-ready solutions that bridge the transition to a tokenised capital markets ecosystem for exchanges, banks, brokerages, and other financial institutions.

What you'll do

• Architect and design enhancements for infrastructure solutions including tokenisation, digital exchange, and custody
• Maintain the existing application stack, working closely with the DevOps team to provide support and resolve issues
• Optimise system performance by profiling, identifying inefficiencies, and eliminating bottlenecks
• Coordinate with the development team and work with QA to deliver releases
• Design APIs and implement ETL work
• Design and implement low latency, high throughput real-time systems
• Build applications observability by creating charts and graphical displays for systems visibility
• Plan and document technical specifications for features, including flow charts, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams
• Understand and contribute to the technical strategy and application architecture
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as IT, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Experience in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or React, with a strong foundation in at least one or two core languages
• A collaborative approach and positive work attitude

Nice to have

• Experience in trading systems, smart contracts, or blockchains
