Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 (DV Commodities)

As a Software Engineer Intern at DV Trading, you'll work in small groups within our development and trading teams to build low-latency applications, systems, and trading tools that directly impact the firm. DV Commodities, our commodities trading division, needs interns who can deliver well-scoped, self-contained projects within our production codebase, learning to integrate new functionality with mature systems while taking full ownership of the code you ship.

What you'll do

• Build low-latency applications and trading tools that support DV Commodities' trading operations
• Deliver self-contained projects within the established production codebase
• Read, navigate, and extend existing codebases to integrate new functionality cleanly
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development while critically reviewing generated code and owning its correctness
• Grow your technical skills and understand how DV's technology stack empowers the trading teams

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with expected graduation between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C++ and/or Python
• Ability to read and navigate an existing codebase and deliver a contained project within it
• Effective use of AI coding tools paired with the ability to critically review generated code and own its correctness
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ideally applied to numerical or performance-sensitive problems
• Ability to work onsite at our London office 5 days a week
