Software Engineer (Trading Automation)

As a Software Engineer (Trading Automation) at Flow Traders, you join the Technology department in New York to develop applications that improve data frameworks, automate workflows, and create efficiency gains for the core business. You work closely with the global Trading Automation team and cross-functional departments to understand the start-to-end trading landscape and how systems integrate within the company's ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Develop workflow automation processes aligned with business needs
• Design, create, and maintain data pipelines and data-intensive applications
• Write automated test cases that cover major edge cases
• Thoroughly document your work, including technical and design specifications and operational guides
• Deploy software applications to production using continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Act as the first line of operational support for the solutions delivered by the team
• Collaborate with both local and global stakeholders and team members
• Mentor team members

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of Git, SQL, Python, and Linux
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset

Nice to have

• An advanced degree in a related field
• Familiarity with Airflow, Ansible, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS/Azure/GCP
• Experience using LLMs to develop software and integrate solutions with existing systems

What we offer

• Base salary of $185,000 to $240,000 (per NYC salary transparency law)
• Annual discretionary variable remuneration based on company, group, and individual performance and contribution
