As a Space Crypto Solution Coordinator at Airbus Defence and Space, you support integrated national space mission project teams and maintain close contact with suppliers and subcontractors on-site. You work on concrete operational tasks and contribute significantly to the transformation plan, whose vision is to become the national champion for high-performance ground-space mission solutions. You help implement forward-looking end-to-end cryptographic solutions for space.
What you'll do
- Provide technical and programmatic management of suppliers and subcontractors as the central point of contact within the company, with regular on-site presence
- Coordinate and support internal and external development of the cryptographic system within the project or projects
- Manage multiple projects across offerings and implementation phases, provide forward-looking coordination and solution-oriented mediation in case of overlapping requirements (multiproject management)
- Support cryptographic accreditation tasks
- Ensure close technical and programmatic exchange between Airbus locations in Bremen and Friedrichshafen
What you bring
- A degree in electrical engineering, technical computer science, physics, engineering management or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in technical project management, supplier management, or at the interface between systems engineering and IT security
- Theoretical or practical foundation in cryptography and network security (for example, through a study focus, master thesis or professional practice)
- Strong communication and organisational skills and enjoyment in managing external partners
- Willingness to travel occasionally (for example, to subcontractors or partner sites)
- Fluent German and English
Nice to have
- Experience in space systems engineering (for example, prior experience in ESA projects) and with corresponding methods and tools
- Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, ECSS standards or CCSDS space protocols
- Experience working on classified projects (VS material) and managing technical stakeholders
- Insights into accreditation processes (for example, BSI IT baseline protection, DEUmilSAA, Common Criteria, ISO 27001)
- French language skills
