Staff Product Designer, Core Experience

As a Staff Product Designer on Robinhood's Core Experience team, you shape the foundation that millions of people use every day. You rethink how the app's most important surfaces are structured, not just how they look. The Core Experience team rebuilds the foundation of core Robinhood products using an experimentation-first approach on high-visibility, frequently-used surfaces. You combine big-picture systems architecture with pixel-perfect craft, owning the core app shell including Home, Watchlists, Search, and beyond.

What you'll do

• Set and hold the visual quality bar across the core app shell for surfaces millions of users see every day, including work you don't own directly.
• Rapidly generate and test a broad range of incremental changes across the mobile app using an experimentation-first approach with A/B testing, concept sprints, and iteration at speed.
• Design for the core app shell including Home, Watchlists, Search, and the surfaces that connect them across multiple product domains.
• Present design concepts directly to executive leadership with clarity and confidence, making the case for decisions that involve real business trade-offs.
• Partner tightly with Product Managers and engineers to deliver great experiences in fast-moving environments, with the autonomy to define the problem, not just solve it.

What you bring

• Proven experience designing for consumer mobile applications on high-visibility surfaces, with a strong sense of how product structure and navigation hold up at scale.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft and execution from an in-house or agency background.
• Real experience with experimentation methodologies including A/B testing, rapid concept generation, and iterating based on data.
• Confidence in your design decisions and the ability to navigate shifting requirements, advocate for your choices, and adapt without losing quality.
• A collaborative approach to cross-functional relationships and genuine curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI tools in the design process.

• Base pay range depends on location: Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC) $191,000-$225,000 USD; Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL) $168,000-$198,000 USD; Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL) $150,000-$176,000 USD. This role is also eligible for bonus opportunities and equity.
