As a Senior Legal Counsel at Deloitte Legal, you will lead complex financial regulation advisory projects for a significant portion of the financial market. You join a law firm that serves key sector clients and provides comprehensive legal support across financial regulations, AML, GDPR, cybersecurity, and ESG compliance.

What you'll do

• Lead complex legal advisory and support projects independently, with a focus on financial market regulations (sectoral laws), AML, GDPR, and cybersecurity
• Conduct ongoing analysis and interpretation of complex legal matters and their practical application in client operations, delivered through formal written legal opinions and direct client interaction
• Participate in cross-disciplinary projects implementing new financial market regulations and compliance assessments
• Develop, verify, and implement legal documentation in line with applicable regulations
• Conduct training sessions for clients
• Manage your time and work organisation to meet client expectations
• Bridge business and regulatory perspectives, applying practical solutions that account for both client business needs and supervisory requirements

What you bring

• Professional qualification as an attorney or legal counsel
• Experience working in a law firm specialising in financial market regulations, AML, GDPR, and cybersecurity
• Ability to explain complex legal matters in clear language, with a proactive and independent approach while collaborating effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of the business perspective of financial market entities and supervisory requirements
• Fluent English proficiency in both spoken and written communication, ready to work in an international environment

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ESG requirements for the financial market
