SUSHI COOK 2- CRYPTO.COM ARENA

As a Sushi Cook 2 at Levy, working at Crypto.com Arena, you learn to assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen. You work toward becoming a qualified, skilled cook under the guidance of experienced team members.

What you'll do

• Learn to read the menu to estimate food requirements and order food from suppliers or procure it from storage
• Prepare and cook food in accordance with company production records and standardized recipes
• Learn to adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Bake, roast, broil and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods under guidance, and add seasoning during mixing or cooking under instruction
• Test food by tasting, smelling and piercing to determine that it is cooked properly
• Carve meat, portion food on serving plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes to fill orders as directed
• Wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
• Butcher chicken, fish and shellfish as directed
• Bake bread, rolls, cakes and pastry as permitted by the course of instruction
• Maintain your work area and equipment, following principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
• Interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
