
Join Jump Trading's Production Engineering team as a Systems Engineer on a weekend warrior schedule. You'll support Jump's world-leading High-Performance Computing environments and global trading infrastructure across Chicago, New York, London, Singapore, and Sydney. This role offers the chance to tackle deeply technical problems, troubleshoot complex systems, and work with cutting-edge infrastructure that powers global financial markets.
What you'll do
- Work on global projects across a wide range of infrastructure
- Manage and resolve technical issues with a high degree of technical complexity
- Develop tools that help diagnose, resolve, and triage difficult problems
- Take on widely different engineering projects across the team to avoid siloing
- Work a modified work week structure that includes weekends on a rotating schedule
What you bring
- Expert-level Linux knowledge
- Networking knowledge and a willingness to deepen it
- Scripting competence with either Go or Python, with willingness to learn both
- Extensive experience profiling and debugging application stacks
- Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complicated systems
- Experience with system configuration management tools such as Salt, Puppet, or Ansible
- A compulsion to perform root-cause analysis
- Reliable and predictable availability
- An insatiable desire to learn
