Tech Recruiter

As a Tech Recruiter at Kraken (part of Payward), you support technical hiring across our global business in a fully remote, high-agency environment. You partner with senior stakeholders and hiring managers to execute strategic hiring plans that attract mission-aligned top talent in a competitive market, operating with speed, precision, and a high bar for quality.

What you'll do

• Partner with hiring managers and teams to design and execute effective hiring strategies, supporting their decision-making with sound data and market insights
• Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies against prioritized requisitions with an eye on market intelligence and industry developments
• Own the end-to-end recruitment process, acting as a problem solver and force multiplier by removing blockers and delivering high-value hires
• Navigate complex environments and act relentlessly in the interest of Kraken, forcing uncomfortable conversations and driving change
• Use AI as the default tool in your workflow to make sourcing, screening, market mapping, and reporting faster and better
• Champion the Kraken culture by ensuring candidates are aligned to our mission and values
• Contribute to cross-functional projects that elevate the global recruiting infrastructure and help define what great looks like at Kraken

What you bring

• Recruitment experience from a reputable, fast-growing, high-bar technology or product business in a competitive market, ideally from crypto, fintech, or a product-driven organization
• Strong first-principles thinking-you diagnose root causes rather than follow playbooks, turning hiring manager symptoms into actionable solutions
• Fluent use of AI in your day-to-day work across sourcing, screening, market mapping, and reporting, with concrete examples of how it has improved your output
• High motor and relentless energy, bringing consistent effort and momentum to everything you do
• Scrappy mindset-you see problems as opportunities and take creative approaches to solving them
• Strong product sense and sound appreciation for talent acquisition fundamentals, balanced with creativity and curiosity about modern tactics
• High agency and a strong bias for action, with the confidence to push boundaries, influence stakeholders, and close exceptional talent
• Comfort operating in chaos, thriving in ambiguity, owning your outcomes, and moving with urgency in a fully async, remote-native setting
