Technical Lead & Sr Developers Web And Blockchain Applications

As a Technical Lead and Senior Developer at Bitfia Technologies, you will own backend engineering, APIs, payment infrastructure and core platform services while contributing across the full stack. You join a team building the next generation of global payment infrastructure using blockchain, stablecoins, AI and modern payment technologies, including the flagship iPint platform. You work closely with founders and the engineering team to design and deliver mission-critical applications handling financial transactions and blockchain integrations.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs and payment infrastructure with a focus on performance, security and reliability.
• Develop end-to-end payment flows including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation and integrations with third-party providers.
• Build integrations with blockchain networks, wallets, exchanges and third-party providers.
• Contribute across the full stack, including developing modern web applications and frontend components using React, Angular, Vue or similar technologies.
• Use AI-native development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate coding, debugging, testing and delivery.
• Own features end-to-end, from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Solve complex technical problems with a high degree of independence.
• Lead the end-to-end architecture of web and blockchain-based systems and make informed decisions on technology stack, design patterns and frameworks.
• Review code, enforce best practices and maintain high engineering standards.
• Design and integrate blockchain-based payment rails, work with smart contracts, wallets and transaction processing systems, and handle on-chain and off-chain interactions.
• Ensure security of transactions, private keys and sensitive data by implementing security best practices, conducting threat modeling and code-level security reviews.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as PCI-DSS and data protection laws, and manage encryption, authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with product managers and founders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Help establish engineering practices that allow Bitfia to build and ship faster.

What you bring

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in web application development and the capability to learn new domains and lead entire products.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies and payment systems.
• Backend experience with Python, Go, Node.js or similar languages.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or Redis.
• Proficiency with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.
• DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains or similar blockchains.
• Smart contract development experience with Solidity or equivalent.
• Wallet integrations and understanding of transaction lifecycle, gas fees, confirmations and blockchain security.
• Knowledge of payment flows, settlements and reconciliation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership.
• Ownership mindset and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience building agents using a mixture of experts.
• Understanding of retraining AIs for specific domains, RAG and GraphRAGs.
• Experience training your own SLMs.
