Technical Solutions Blockchain & Digital Assets

You'll join CaixaBank Tech's Blockchain and Digital Assets team as a Technical Solutions specialist, responsible for designing and developing technology solutions based on Blockchain/DLT for the CaixaBank group.

What you'll do

• Participate in developing Blockchain solutions, including architecture design, implementation, and integration with existing CaixaBank group systems
• Lead proof-of-concept projects, pilots, and production scaling of Blockchain/DLT-based initiatives in areas such as tokenized assets, stablecoins, CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies), and cryptocurrencies
• Participate in internal discussion forums and consortium projects on Blockchain technology applicability across different financial sector use cases
• Define technology architectures aligned with CaixaBank's technology stack and each specific use case's requirements
• Analyze, define, and refine technical requirements to communicate to software development teams and manage their delivery
• Contribute to day-to-day software development through user story definition, backlog management, sprint planning, and dependency management
• Ensure projects align with the group's overall business and IT strategy
• Liaise with architecture, security, and compliance teams to guarantee viability and regulatory compliance
• Define metrics and KPIs to evaluate Blockchain solution performance and scalability
• Design solutions with production operation in mind, including resilience, scalability, monitoring, and SLAs
• Communicate results internally through talks and training sessions, adapting your message to both technical and non-technical audiences

What you bring

• A university degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related field
• Experience implementing and managing Blockchain/DLT technology projects
• Knowledge of public and private Blockchain/DLT technologies such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, or Corda
• Knowledge of cryptoassets including cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and CBDCs
• Technical knowledge of digital asset custody
• Understanding of smart contracts and their application in use cases such as asset tokenization, digital identity, and payments
• Knowledge of software development, APIs, design patterns, and testing

Nice to have

• Technical experience in software development with languages such as Java, Solidity, Python, or Javascript
• Knowledge of frameworks and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, React, Spring, and DevOps
• Experience with cloud environments such as IBM Cloud, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Applied cryptography, key management, MPC, HSMs
• Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
• Knowledge of European digital assets regulation, particularly MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) and its impact on financial institutions
• Knowledge of digital identity, eIDAS2 regulation, and the Euro Digital
• High level of English, both written and conversational
• Experience and knowledge of the banking sector and financial products
