Technical Solutions Blockchain & Digital Assets

As a Technical Solutions Blockchain & Digital Assets professional at CaixaBank Tech, you join the Blockchain and Digital Assets team to design and develop technology solutions based on Blockchain/DLT for the CaixaBank group. You'll take on a hands-on role that spans architecture, development leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across one of Europe's leading financial institutions.

What you'll do

• Participate in the development of Blockchain solutions, including architecture design, implementation, and integration with existing CaixaBank group systems
• Lead proofs of concept, pilots, and production scaling of Blockchain/DLT projects in domains such as Tokenized Assets, Stablecoins, CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies), and cryptocurrencies
• Participate in internal discussion forums and consortial projects on the applicability of Blockchain technology to different financial sector use cases
• Define technology architectures aligned with CaixaBank's technology stack and the specific needs of each use case
• Analyse, define, and refine technical requirements to communicate to the software development team and oversee their execution
• Participate in day-to-day software development including User Story definition, backlog management, sprint planning, and dependency management
• Ensure projects align with the business strategy and IT strategy of the group
• Liaise with architecture, security, and compliance teams to guarantee viability and regulatory compliance
• Define metrics and KPIs to evaluate the performance and scalability of Blockchain solutions
• Design solutions with production operation in mind, including resiliency, scalability, monitoring, and SLAs
• Communicate results internally through talks and training sessions, tailoring your communication to both technical and non-technical audiences

What you bring

• A university degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related fields
• Experience implementing and managing Blockchain/DLT technology projects
• Knowledge of public and private Blockchain/DLT technologies such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, or Corda
• Knowledge of cryptoassets including cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, or CBDCs
• Technical knowledge of digital asset custody
• Understanding of Smart Contracts and their application in use cases such as Asset Tokenization, Digital Identity, or Payments
• Knowledge of software development, APIs, design patterns, and testing

Nice to have

• Technical software development experience in languages such as Java, Solidity, Python, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with frameworks and tools including Docker, Kubernetes, React, Spring, and DevOps
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as IBM Cloud, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Applied cryptography, key management, MPC, or HSMs
• Knowledge of agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Knowledge of European digital asset regulation, particularly MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) and its impact on financial entities
• Understanding of digital identity, eIDAS2 regulation, and the Euro Digital
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and conversational
• Experience and knowledge of the banking sector and financial products
