Technical Writer (Sequence)

As a Technical Writer at Horizon Blockchain Games, you will be responsible for writing great documentation for Sequence, our blockchain infrastructure platform. You'll make educational materials and documentation clear, easy to understand, and organized so developers can onboard to Sequence with ease. You will collaborate with the development team to understand the technical design and capabilities of the platform, and you'll understand your end customers-software developers-and listen to their needs.

What you'll do

• Produce documentation for APIs and client libraries
• Create educational material to help developers understand Sequence and blockchain
• Organize material to be readable, searchable, and understandable
• Help the community answer documentation-related questions
• Continuously improve documentation tools
• Standardize documentation style so developers have a consistent experience

What you bring

• Experience managing and producing technical documentation at other companies
• Excellent written and verbal communication ability
• The ability to explain complex topics using simple, plain language
• Deep understanding of grammar and a succinct writing style that favors effective communication
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Experience with programming, either as an engineer or through side projects; you understand the language of developers
• Comfort working with HTML, Javascript, and CSS
• Ability to run static site generation software from the command line on Mac or Linux
• A growth mindset with an appetite to learn
