Trader | Crypto

As a Trader at Jump Crypto, you join a dynamic group focused on researching, interpreting and capitalizing on global trading markets. Jump Crypto is the crypto division of Jump Trading Group, a research-driven quantitative trading firm and one of the largest traders by volume across traditional asset classes. You'll work 4 days a week (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday) alongside experienced traders and technologists in this 24/7 asset class.

What you'll do

• Execute trading strategies
• Monitor trading positions and work with clearing and operations teams to reconcile trades and position breaks throughout your shift
• Build and maintain DevOps toolkit for the production trading system, including configuration management, process management, deployment, monitoring, data collection and analysis
• Troubleshoot production trading issues and improve trading desk processes
• Develop proficiency in quantitative trading efforts, exchange trading setups and other trading-related areas
• Own and take responsibility for team-wide projects beyond day-to-day trading coverage
• Stay familiar with all lines of the business outside trading, understand business priorities and adapt accordingly

What you bring

• At least 3+ years of trading experience
• Comfort with Python and the ability to write and understand simple to moderate scripts
• Familiarity with a Linux environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion in decision-making
• An aptitude for working in a highly collaborative environment
• Reliable and predictable availability
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and an understanding of various currencies and exchanges
