Trading Intern - Summer 2027 (DV Commodities)

As a Trading Intern at DV Commodities, you work closely with trading teams to learn about different types of trading strategies, ranging from Market Making in Oil Products to Fundamental Discretionary approaches in European Gas and Power. You rotate on at least 2 desks to explore what trading style fits best with your skill set, building and maintaining applications that assist trading activities through analytics dashboards and backtested ideas.

What you'll do

• Rotate on at least 2 trading desks to learn different strategies across commodities markets including crude oil, refined products, natural gas, power, emissions, metals, softs, and agriculture
• Build and maintain applications that assist trading activities, including creating new analytics dashboards
• Develop and backtest novel trading ideas, presenting results to the team
• Work alongside senior and junior traders with constant exposure to senior leadership

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, graduating by Summer 2027 or Summer 2028
• Strong interest in trading and model development
• High proficiency with Python and Excel
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a high-pressure setting
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work onsite at the London office 5 days a week
