Trading Intern - Summer 2027 (DV Commodities)

As a Trading Intern at DV Commodities, you'll work closely with our trading teams to learn about different trading strategies, ranging from Market Making in Oil Products to Fundamental Discretionary approaches in Gas & Power. You'll rotate on at least 2 desks to explore what trading style fits best with your skill set, and build applications that assist trading activities through analytics dashboards and backtesting novel ideas.

What you'll do

• Rotate across at least 2 trading desks to gain exposure to different strategies including Market Making and Fundamental Discretionary trading
• Build and maintain applications that assist trading activities, including analytics dashboards
• Develop, backtest, and present novel trading ideas to the team
• Learn from mentorship by both senior and junior traders with exposure to senior leadership

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, expected to graduate by Summer 2028
• Strong interest in trading and model development
• High proficiency with Python and Excel
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work onsite at the New York office 5 days a week
