Trading Systems Engineer (Trading Platform)

As a Trading Systems Engineer at DRW, you'll exercise your extensive technical skills to solve complex problems supporting our trading platform. You'll work closely with trading, infrastructure and software development teams to keep our technology running smoothly, communicating directly with exchanges, traders and developers to resolve issues as they arise.

What you'll do

• Maintain the health and availability of our world-class trading ecosystem
• Respond to support requests from traders and software engineers
• Contribute to automation and monitoring solutions that reduce manual configuration and improve uptime
• Liaise with external trading partners such as financial exchanges and clearing firms to resolve technical issues
• Onboard new trading desks, trading systems and technologies

What you bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields
• A Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets
• The ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers and other engineering teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks
• The ability to devise complex SQL database queries and updates
• Basic networking knowledge, including multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
