Treasury & PayOps Analyst

As a Treasury and Payment Operations Analyst at BVNK, you play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You process payments with precision, manage liquidity, and resolve operational client inquiries to deliver a seamless experience. This role is based on the West Coast of the United States or requires alignment with Pacific Time hours (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT).

What you'll do

• Process and monitor both manual and automated transactions, including deposit allocation, client payments, and return of funds
• Handle failed payments, liquidity movements, and cash flow management across offline liquidity providers and exchanges
• Maintain professional relationships with partner financial institutions, merchants, and internal operational teams
• Assist the Merchant Support team with incoming queries and work closely with compliance and monitoring teams to address flagged transactions, RFIs, and counterparties' whitelisting
• Track and resolve open payment queries, ensuring swift resolution
• Support safeguarding and reconciliation procedures related to EMI operations
• Produce KPIs on payment statistics within the business
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks or discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve payment issues, delays, and errors in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for treasury and payment processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Contribute to system optimisation initiatives to improve the efficiency of payment processing
• Support treasury and operational teams with counterparty risk management and ensure compliance with internal treasury policies
• Provide on-call coverage for weekend work, shared among 9 analysts, typically once every couple of months, with coverage for some bank holidays as agreed within the team

What you bring

• Experience in treasury, payment operations, or financial services
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal skills, able to present findings and communicate workflows effectively
• A thorough approach and understanding of the importance of following process
• Quick learner who is adaptable, proactive, and professional
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
