Urdu Translator

As an Urdu Translator at CryptoMize, you are the senior authority on Urdu deliverables, converting dossiers, campaign material, and confidential correspondence between Urdu and English. You review all output from the translation bench, own the Nastaliq production standard, and make live register decisions along the language's Perso-Arabic-to-Hindustani range. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the headquarters in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, with immediate joining available.

What you'll do

• Translate high-stakes Urdu material personally in both directions, including ceremonial documents, principal letters, and sensitive engagement papers
• Approve every Urdu file before it leaves the building and defend the phrasing when questions arise
• Make register pronouncements for each document: choosing between classical Perso-Arabic dignity and accessible Hindustani directness
• Run Nastaliq production as an atelier, overseeing typesetters, proofing passes, ligatures, and right-to-left layout protection through every format change
• Maintain the Urdu wordbook settled across five intelligence domains, recording rulings once and applying them everywhere
• Preserve Hyderabad-facing papers in their Deccani character, reading linguistic variety as an asset
• Salvage machine-assisted drafts by flattening reversed text, repairing script damage, and restoring register before downstream use
• Develop junior translators through correction that carries its reasoning, with readiness documented in writing
• Brief engagement leads on what Urdu phrasing implies beyond its literal content before material commits

What you bring

• Native-level Urdu fluency, against which others are measured
• Command of register pronouncements along the full lexical range
• Demonstrated mastery of Nastaliq atelier management, from proofing to press-ready output
• Ability to protect ligature and layout integrity across multiple formats
• Fluency in ceremonial register for formal papers and correspondence conventions including numerals, honorifics, and forms of address
• Ability to read Deccani variety as fluency rather than deviation
• Wordbook stewardship across five domains
• Proficiency in salvaging and restoring machine-generated drafts
• Proven ability to manage multiple content streams without dropping context
• A sealed-lips default on covered papers
