UX/UI Designer

As a UX/UI Designer at Rlay, you will design interfaces and developer tools for an open-source protocol that brings real-world information on-chain. You'll work across documentation, websites, and novel interfaces for machine and human information representation, collaborating with experienced developers, designers, and brand strategists to shape products that impact millions of users globally.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and collaborate with product management, engineering, branding, and the open-source community to build innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience
• Develop interaction models, wireframes, and prototypes
• Evaluate the success of design solutions through concept testing, usability tests, and user feedback
• Work with web designers and brand strategists to develop coherent design applications and consistent user experiences
• Participate in the development of design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Discuss design ideas and prototypes with developers
• Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience working as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or in a related role
• Significant experience with design software and a solid portfolio of design projects
• Excellent knowledge of interaction design and information architecture
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented approach
• Strong communication skills

Nice to have

• JavaScript/React experience
• Experience in project management and research
• Significant experience working in an open-source community
• Previous experience in the blockchain space
• Previous experience working remotely
