VP, Campus Construction Manager

As VP, Campus Construction Manager at Galaxy's Helios campus in Afton, TX, you own construction execution across all active and future phases of this multi-gigawatt data center infrastructure project. You lead a team of senior construction managers and set the standards for safety, schedule, cost, and quality. You serve as the single point of accountability for construction from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover to operations, with peak on-site workforce expected to exceed 2,000 people.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the on-site construction team across active and future phases, including project management, QA/QC, commissioning, MEP, and CSA leaders, as well as field construction managers. Set clear expectations, coach for performance, and build bench strength as the campus grows.
• Provide integrated oversight of construction across all phases, resolving cross-phase conflicts in resources, laydown, site logistics, access, utilities, and sequencing.
• Own the campus master schedule view, monitor progress against baseline, identify critical-path threats early, and direct recovery and mitigation plans before they affect milestones.
• Set and enforce Galaxy's safety standards across the campus, partner with Galaxy EHS and contractor safety leadership to sustain a zero-incident environment, and hold the team accountable for leading indicators and outcomes.
• Manage executive-level relationships with general contractors and key trade partners, ensuring alignment on milestones, quality, safety, staffing, and commercial performance.
• Provide leadership oversight of pay applications, change orders, forecasts, and budget tracking for each phase, ensuring disciplined change management and accurate cost reporting to leadership.
• Work closely with Pre-Construction and OFCI procurement and logistics teams to ensure owner-furnished equipment such as UPS, generators, chillers, and switchgear arrives, is set, and is installed without impacting the construction schedule.
• Partner with the on-site commissioning manager, 3rd-party Cx agent, and operations teams to ensure systematic testing, closeout, and clean turnover of each phase to operations.
• Establish and enforce Galaxy's QA/QC standards across the campus and escalate and resolve systemic quality issues.
• Drive Galaxy's modularization, prefabrication, and lean delivery initiatives, and capture lessons learned so each phase is more repeatable than the last.
• Work with local authorities, inspectors, utilities, and consultants to ensure compliance with codes and permit requirements.
• Provide frequent status updates to the Co-Heads of Data Center Construction and communicate campus status, risks, and forecasts clearly to Galaxy executive leadership and internal stakeholders.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience delivering large-scale mission-critical projects with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple project leaders or concurrent projects.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-phase or campus-scale developments.
• A deep understanding of construction delivery models including GMP, risk management, and contractor oversight.
• Technical fluency across MEP, commissioning, civil, and structural systems.
• A proven track record managing OFCI equipment integration and commissioning.
• Strong command of cost control, change management, and schedule analysis.
• Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.
• Full-time, on-site presence at Helios in Afton, TX.
