VP of Algorithmic Trading

As VP of Algorithmic Trading at Invictus Capital, you head a quantitative finance and software engineering team building proprietary trading algorithms and infrastructure for a global cryptocurrency investment platform serving over 15,000 investors across 150 countries. You combine deep technical expertise in both software engineering and financial trading with proven leadership experience, driving the team's vision, roadmap, and execution while contributing hands-on to the codebase.

What you'll do

• Safeguard the technical and algorithmic roadmap of the team while assisting with developing, maintaining, and implementing trading algorithms
• Manage team goals and performance, attracting and mentoring top-tier engineering and quantitative finance talent
• Partner with the CEO and CTO to establish long-term vision and roadmap for the algorithmic trading team
• Lead by example, contributing code and maintaining deep understanding of the tech stack
• Oversee development and maintenance of Invictus Capital's proprietary trading framework
• Direct the development of data-driven algorithms for asset management, risk management, and automation
• Drive the development of proprietary trading and hedging algorithms in the cryptocurrency space
• Ensure trading algorithms run in production in a scalable and robust manner

What you bring

• Team lead experience managing a team of software engineers and/or data scientists
• At least 3 years of production experience with Python, Java, or Golang on Linux or macOS
• Comprehensive understanding of databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Redis
• Experience deploying containerized microservices in Kubernetes
• Relevant experience in financial trading
• Hands-on experience putting models into production and monitoring their performance
• Experience developing dashboards and visualizations to monitor model performance
• BSc Eng in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering/Systems, or Network Engineering; or BSc Comp Sci with network or operations experience

Nice to have

• Understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
• Practical experience trading crypto assets on exchanges
