Web Developer (Frontend)

As a Web Developer (Frontend) at HECOD Blockchain, you will build and maintain the web surfaces people actually use: the HECOD Collect application, the customer response portal, and the hecod.tech website. Collect users are finance people and business owners working through overdue invoices. They need dense, readable tables, clear status, and no surprises. Your customers open a single link to respond about one invoice, often on a phone. The standard for both is calm, fast, accessible, and multilingual from the start.

What you'll do

• Research, design, develop, and produce websites and web applications
• Consult with stakeholders to develop and document website and application requirements
• Prepare mock-ups, prototypes, and user flows, and develop site and application architecture
• Write, modify, integrate, and test code for web and mobile-responsive applications
• Ensure proper integration of web applications with backend services, databases, and APIs
• Identify and communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to the Lead - Technology and the team
• Research and evaluate web frameworks, software tools, and services
• Maintain websites and web applications, including updates, fixes, and performance improvements
• Prepare technical documentation for components and front-end architecture
• Build data tables for invoices and customers with aging, balances, currency, and status using tabular figures and right-aligned amounts
• Build approval queues, reminder draft review screens, and follow-up history views
• Build clear empty, loading, and error states with plain sentences and one action
• Show verified records with the approved verified icon and label, never decorative graphics
• Build the scoped customer response portal where a customer views one invoice and records a payment promise or dispute
• Make the customer portal work well on mobile, with minimal steps and no account required
• Support EN-US, FR-CA, ES, and DE across the application
• Handle language, currency, region, date format, and time zone as separate settings
• Work with translators and reviewers to keep strings accurate and consistent
• Implement and maintain the HECOD design system: tokens, components, typography, and dark mode
• Meet WCAG 2.2 AA for contrast, keyboard navigation, focus states, and screen readers
• Respect reduced-motion settings, keeping transitions short and purposeful
• Maintain hecod.tech and collect.hecod.tech marketing and documentation pages
• Monitor and improve page speed, Core Web Vitals, and reliability
• Write automated tests for components and critical user flows

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, OR a college diploma in web development, computer programming, or a related program
• 3+ years of professional web development experience
• Experience shipping and maintaining a production web application used by real customers
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript
• Strong React
• Modern HTML and CSS, including responsive layout
• The ability to build accessible interfaces to WCAG AA standards
• Experience integrating front ends with REST APIs or database-backed services
• Front-end testing experience, both component and end-to-end
• Proficiency with Git, code review, and CI/CD pipelines
• Clear written communication in English
• Attention to detail in layout, spacing, and copy
• Comfort working in a small team without layers of management

Nice to have

• Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion
• Supabase
• Experience with internationalization libraries and localized number, currency, and date formatting
• Experience building data-heavy business or finance interfaces
• Experience with design tools such as Figma
• French, Spanish, or German proficiency
• A portfolio or code samples showing business application interfaces
