Web Engineer

As a Web Engineer at Robinhood, you will lead the web development process and build products from inception to deployment. You join a high-performing, fast-moving team applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. You work closely with design, product management, and internal platforms to deliver high-impact features within multidisciplinary product teams, helping solve challenges on a web-first, high-performance trading product.

What you'll do

• Create high-quality, performant products that leverage technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS
• Own and drive features from inception and design to implementation and launch, being the web expert on your team
• Build and improve tools to support Robinhood's operations and platforms, providing leverage across the company
• Collaborate with design and product experts to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
• Build frameworks and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers

What you bring

• 2+ years of full-time professional experience with modern web standards, technologies, and frameworks
• Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
• Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
• A track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
• Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes

• Base pay range (depends on location): Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC) $166,000-$195,000 USD; Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL) $147,000-$172,000 USD; Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL) $130,000-$152,000 USD. Eligible for bonus opportunities plus equity.
