Web3 Accountant

As a Financial Accountant or Newly Qualified CA(SA) at an innovative Web3 and digital assets business, you own the numbers and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of international clients. You thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where you stay hands-on with day-to-day accounting rather than operating solely at a review level.

What you'll do

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee day-to-day accounting activities
• Process financial transactions, journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and digital asset transactions
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Assist with external audit requirements and compliance activities
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Provide finance support across various business functions and projects

What you bring

• BCom Accounting with Honours
• Newly Qualified CA(SA) or Accountant with strong accounting experience
• Exposure to Crypto, Digital Assets, or Web3 environments
• Experience performing a full accounting function
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
• Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player
• Strong work ethic and sense of ownership
