Blockchain & DevOps Engineer

As a Blockchain & DevOps Engineer at Aye Global Holdings, you architect the tokenization layer underpinning our biometric commerce platform, covering payments, identity, and loyalty. You design and deploy production-grade blockchain systems, manage distributed infrastructure on GCP, and build the CI/CD pipelines that keep our microservices reliable at scale. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role at the intersection of cryptographic systems, cloud infrastructure, and distributed commerce.

What you'll do

• Design and implement tokenization frameworks for payments, loyalty points, and biometric identity tokens, covering issuance, transfer, redemption, and expiry lifecycles
• Develop, test, and audit smart contracts in Solidity or Rust; implement formal verification where security-critical
• Deploy and operate blockchain nodes across Ethereum mainnet and Layer 2 networks (Polygon, Arbitrum, zkSync); manage RPC infrastructure, mempool monitoring, and gas optimisation
• Integrate on-chain components into Node.js microservices via event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
• Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI; enforce infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform or Pulumi on GCP
• Manage secrets and key material via HashiCorp Vault or GCP Secret Manager; enforce HSM-grade key custody for signing operations
• Build observability into every layer with Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and structured alerting for node health, gas anomalies, and transaction throughput

What you bring

• Strong proficiency in Solidity and/or Rust
• Proven experience designing tokenization systems (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, or custom token standards); understanding of token economics and redemption mechanics
• Production experience deploying and operating blockchain nodes; understanding of consensus mechanisms, fork handling, and chain reorganisations
• Deep hands-on experience with GCP (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Pub/Sub, VPC networking)
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash; comfort with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Understanding of cryptographic primitives: ECDSA, zero-knowledge proofs, multi-party computation (MPC)

Nice to have

• Experience with zkRollup or Optimistic Rollup architectures (zkSync, Arbitrum, Polygon zkEVM)
• Knowledge of account abstraction (EIP-4337) and its applications in payment UX
• PCI DSS or ISO 27001 compliance experience in a fintech or payments context
• Prior work on loyalty tokenomics, digital asset custody, or cross-chain bridge security
