Blockchain Risk Control Lead

As a Blockchain Risk Control Lead at Bybit, you combine deep blockchain forensics expertise with machine learning and emerging cryptographic research to build next-generation threat intelligence systems. You join a team expanding focus into AI-augmented risk identification and post-quantum cryptographic security, bridging academia and industry to accelerate adoption of cutting-edge techniques across the organisation.

What you'll do

• Leverage LLM techniques to develop next-generation on-chain risk identification and threat intelligence systems, including autonomous agent workflows capable of continuous monitoring, self-triggered investigation, and automated operational responses.
• Lead forensic investigations on real crypto theft, fraud, and market manipulation cases, integrating AI-assisted pattern recognition to accelerate root cause analysis.
• Research post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (NIST PQC: ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, FALCON) and assess their implications for blockchain security, including quantum computing threats to existing cryptographic foundations (ECDSA secp256k1, hash functions) and migration paths.
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders for incident response, and engage with academic institutions to translate frontier research into deployable security tools.

What you bring

• A Master's or PhD degree in Blockchain security, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in blockchain analytics, such as SQL, Python, and Javascript.
• Experience applying machine learning or AI techniques to blockchain data analysis, fraud detection, or threat intelligence.
• Experience with blockchain monitoring, forensic tools, and analytics platforms.
• Understanding of quantum computing threats to elliptic curve cryptography and implications for key management in Web3.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• English proficiency (essential).

Nice to have

• A strong publication record in top-level industry or academic conferences.
• Familiarity with NIST PQC standards (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, FALCON) and lattice or hash-based cryptography fundamentals.
• Security or risk control experience.
• Proficiency in Mandarin.
