Blockchain Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer at Itransition, you take ownership of designing and implementing blockchain infrastructure from scratch. You combine Go or Node.js/TypeScript backend development with blockchain integrations, distributed systems, and technical architecture.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend systems for blockchain infrastructure
• Integrate with Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains, including L2 solutions
• Work with blockchain nodes, RPC providers, and indexing services
• Build production systems using Go or Node.js/TypeScript with REST APIs and event-driven architecture
• Architect distributed systems and lead complex technical initiatives
• Mentor other engineers and provide technical direction

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production experience with Go or Node.js/TypeScript
• Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems from scratch
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB, including data modeling and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Redis and message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Strong experience with Docker, CI/CD, and AWS or Azure
• Production experience with Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains, including L2 solutions
• Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, transaction lifecycle, wallets, token standards, and on-chain data
• Experience integrating and working with blockchain nodes, RPC providers, and indexing services
• Hands-on experience with ethers.js, web3.js, viem, Foundry, or Hardhat
• Strong practical experience with Solidity and smart contracts, including testing and integration
• Strong understanding of blockchain security and cryptographic best practices
• Experience owning architecture and leading complex technical initiatives
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor other engineers
