Business Analyst (Web3 experience)

As a Business Analyst / Product Owner at IdeaSoft, you will play a central role in leading discovery, shaping the product vision and MVP, and driving requirements for a rapidly evolving Web3 and FinTech product. You will ensure alignment between business goals, compliance considerations, and technical implementation throughout the entire software development lifecycle, working directly with founders and investor stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Conduct end-to-end discovery by gathering business goals, constraints, compliance considerations, and technical input from stakeholders.
• Lead workshops with the client, elicit functional and non-functional requirements, identify missing inputs and risks, and translate high-level ecosystem vision into a structured MVP scope and phased roadmap.
• Produce discovery deliverables, maintain a clear requirements repository, create user story maps with detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensure backlog completeness and prioritization, and support designers with flow definitions and UX clarifications.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead to shape architecture, integration mapping, and constraints; define scalability paths to ensure MVP design does not block long-term vision.
• Create technical specification documents and interface contracts for third-party providers, participate in risk assessment, validate feasibility, and propose alternatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact between IdeaSoft and the founder and investor team; communicate complex technical and blockchain concepts in an accessible way, ensure expectation alignment on scope, timelines, trade-offs, and dependencies.

What you bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager.
• Hands-on experience launching blockchain-based products, especially non-custodial wallets, DEX/CEX integrations, portfolio tracking tools, and token sales or presale modules.
• Experience integrating with third-party services such as on/off-ramps, payment providers, and custodians.
• Proven experience conducting and facilitating discovery phases, including vision definition, requirements gathering, workshops, and documentation.
• Experience working directly with founders, investors, and high-stakes stakeholders, and managing customer expectations.
• Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, EVM chains, wallet architectures, tokens, and DeFi fundamentals.
• Understanding of non-custodial key management, signing flows, gas estimation, swaps, and liquidity aggregation.
• Solid understanding of Agile software development lifecycle, requirements lifecycle, and iterative delivery.
• Ability to produce clear, structured, developer-ready documentation including user story maps, functional requirements, BPMN/UML diagrams, wireframes, and mind maps.
• Strong business analysis, requirements management, and product management skills.
• Strong logical and analytical skills with the ability to identify edge cases and corner scenarios.
• Advanced knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Draw.io, FigJam, Miro, or similar.
• Ability to express ideas, thoughts, and questions simply, concisely, and in a structured way.

• Experience defining go-to-market strategies for crypto products.
• Exposure to tokenomics design.
• Experience in hypothesis validation and data-driven decision making.
• Scrum certification such as PSPO or PSM.
• Familiarity with regulated market contexts including KYC/AML, VARA, and compliance alignment.
