Country Manager (Africa)

As Country Manager for Africa at OSL, you drive business growth, market expansion, and commercial strategy across key African markets. You develop local market opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and drive adoption of stablecoin-based payment solutions, cross-border payments, and digital asset services. You work closely with regional and global teams across Business Development, Product, Compliance, Operations, and Finance to build and scale OSL's presence in Africa.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute OSL's business strategy and market expansion plans across key African markets
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and growth areas within stablecoin payments, cross-border settlement, and digital assets
• Evaluate local market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements to support business expansion
• Establish and grow OSL's presence in target markets, driving long-term commercial growth
• Build and manage strategic relationships with banks, payment service providers, fintechs, merchants, liquidity providers, and other ecosystem partners
• Drive business development initiatives across cross-border payments, stablecoin settlement, and fiat on/off-ramp solutions
• Identify and develop new payment corridors and commercial opportunities across Africa and other regions
• Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership structures to support business growth
• Develop a strong network of industry stakeholders, financial institutions, and local partners
• Own regional business performance, revenue growth, and commercial targets
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for OSL's products and services
• Drive customer and partner acquisition, transaction volume growth, and market penetration
• Monitor business performance, market trends, and commercial KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide regular business updates, market insights, and performance reports to senior management
• Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory teams to support market entry and business expansion
• Develop a strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks relating to payments, digital assets, foreign exchange, and financial services
• Support licensing initiatives, regulatory engagement, and local market compliance requirements
• Build relationships with relevant regulators, industry associations, and local stakeholders where appropriate
• Work closely with global teams across Product, Business Development, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Legal to execute regional initiatives
• Translate local market needs into actionable business and product opportunities
• Support the development of local business operations, partnership infrastructure, and market capabilities
• Represent OSL at industry events, conferences, and relevant business forums across Africa
• Build and develop a high-performing local team as the business scales
